Livents Presents: Cupid’s Trunk Show & Belly Dancing Event

New York City, New York – January 24, 2011 – On behalf of their clients, Livents will be hosting a trunk show and belly dancing event on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, 7:00PM at Haven on 244 E. 51st Street, New York, NY, 10022. The event will encourage New Yorkers to dance, shop, and make connections.

The belly dancing performance and mini-workshop will be conducted by Samantha Diaz, one of New York’s acclaimed performers. She is currently teaching and performing in shows throughout the country. One of her performances are expected to debut on ABC’s television show, “Showtime Apollo.” This event will be an entertaining event for New Yorkers that will be sparking new connections and illustrating exceptional talent. This extravaganza will also have a trunk show that will give New Yorkers the opportunity to look their best on Valentine’s Day. It will debut the designs of Viva Aviva and other talented designers. Items are available for on-site purchase. Viva Aviva is a women’s apparel company based in New York City. They specialize in evening wear including cocktail dresses, capes, tops, tunics and gowns. In addition to a small revolving seasonal collection, they also offer custom designs for those clients residing in New York City. Their style is defined by hand draped natural fabrics, and sculptural/deconstructed silhouettes highlighted by labor-intensive handwork.

About the President of Livents

Lisa Li is a resident of New York City, NY. Originally from San Francisco, CA, she graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Interior Design and a minor in History of Art. She worked as an interior designer for Mancini Duffy, a corporate design firm in New York City. In San Francisco, she started YouLiveAndYouLearn.org, a California non-profit public benefit organization and also worked as a property asset manager, overseeing properties valued collectively at $1.5 million. Her organization helps aspiring designers put on runway shows as a way to showcase their creative talent. Her objective is to expand the field of appreciation for fashion, design, and the arts. The runway series have taken place across the country and hopefully one day, around the world.

Through her experience in coordinating runway shows, she has gained clients such as: the Miss Asian America Pageant, the director of Clear Channel Radio, the SACHIKA Twins, and many more. She has been interviewed by Clear Channel Radio, the San Francisco Examiner newspaper, En La Escena television network, magazines, blogs, and much more. Her experiences helped her create a platform for her to start Livents.

Natalie Portman, actress and Golden Globe nominee, is pregnant with her first child with Benjamin Millepied, the choreographer of the movie, "Black Swan." The two are engaged and set to expect their child later this year.
