As a photographer, Jennifer DelCastillo believes in creating a distinct, artistic style that can transcend whatever genre of photography she approaches. Whether shooting a wedding, social function, editorial portraits, or even a child's birthday party, her work always intends to capture events skillfully, beautifully, and with a strong understanding of the moments that are happening.

Born in New York City, Jennifer has been studying photography for 15 years. She began her studies at the High School of Art and Design and continued at Herbert H. Lehman College receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography. Professionally, Jen began her career working in a variety of positions: as a photo lab manager, digital technician, retouch-er, processor, graphic designer and as a photographers assistant. She believes this experience helped her become the photographer she is today, dedicated, knowledgeable, experienced, and creative. She believes that honing your craft gives you complete creative freedom, because with experience, your equipment becomes instinctual, leaving the photographer to focus on what's really important, the beautiful interactions and moments that are happening. Jennifer started her career as a photographer over 10 years ago shooting concerts and musical artists. She continued on shooting portraiture, still life, and photojournalism for stock agencies and in 2006 began shooting for some of the city's top wedding studios. In 2009, Jennifer began focusing on the work of her own creatively driven studio, d-mulsion photography where she produces event photography and portraiture. This year, she began to use her photography as a tool to support amazing non-profits throughout the city and is looking forward to the years to come of meeting amazing people and producing great photography to showcase her clients. Her photographic experience includes Editorial, Event, Fashion, Photojournalism and Portraiture.
